BAKESTARR is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit that supports 18-24 year old young adults with type 1 diabetes. The organization was founded in 2008 in loving memory of Brian Christopher Baker.

BAKESTARR recognizes the unique challenges faced by young diabetics during the difficult transition from parental dependence into independence and seeks to be a beacon of support to ease that transition.
